route in detail

From the Golden Ears Provincial Park day-use/riding lots, take Corral Trail from the hitching rail, keep left twice to join East Canyon Trail, a wide sandy horse road climbing gently past 1920s logging stumps and big boulders. Cross several creeks (one on two giant logs, past an old metal gate) to the high point with a view of a needle-like peak, then descend toward Gold Creek's canyon. Return the same way or via a red-marked optional trail.

good to know cam

Hi, I'm Cam Appleton. I love Vancouver and I love getting out on its trails. When I went looking for a simple, easy hiking guide for around here, I couldn't find one I liked. I also really like helping people, so I built this one.

My day job is real estate. I help people buy, sell and lease. I hope you're enjoying the start of Hike Vancouver. If you're thinking about living closer to trails like this one, I'm happy to talk.
